Chaos and Composure is an original oil painting on canvas and took over an year to complete. The artwork is an exercise in chaos theory and pareidolia, our brains ability to recognize patterns out of abstract forms.
The artwork was conceived in this way by initially creating random textures and swirls of color on the canvas before it was refined through a sort of Rorschach process into the image that you see now.
Notable symbols are the symbols of the phoenix, which represents metamorphosis and rebirth, and the many eyes, which represent doorways into the world of spirit as well as upholding the notion that as you gaze into the universe, the universe is looking back.
